The Woodlands Country Club is one of the most desirable groupings of course offerings in Houston, TX. The Palmer Course features 27 holes of undulating and mounded terrain, surrounded by challenging bunkers and intricate water hazards. It offers a challenge for even the best golfers. The original 18 holes (King and General nines) opened in 1990, the third nine (Deacon) opened for play in 1995.
Since 2008, The Woodlands Country Club has hosted the PGA Champions Tour’s Insperity Invitational. A tournament I have walked and spectated at the past two years. It is a unique experience spectating a professional event before playing it. To walk the same fairways as some of golfs greatest legends like Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Jack Nicklaus- is one of the more memorable golf moments I have gotten to take advantage thus far.
